The Input test tool can be used to verify the functionality of each button on the Steam Controller. It will also verify the functionality of the Steam Controller's haptic feedback. To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. In Big Picture mode, go to Settings > Controller > Controller settings
  2. Highlight your Steam Controller in the device list and select Support
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the diagnostic test
