You selected the issue: Black bars on sides or top

When the aspect ratio of a game doesn't match the aspect ratio of your display, we compensate by adding black bars on the sides or top.

Troubleshooting:
Change in-game display settings
  1. Open the in-game display settings menu and set a 16:9 graphics resolution, such as 1920x1080 or 1280x720
  2. If you don't see those resolutions available in-game, try switching from fullscreen to windowed mode
  3. If the issue persists, change the desktop resolution on your host computer
